Found this in a norwegian magazine.. It's a pure gossip magazine, so I don't know how much of it is true.. But I thought I would post it..
"Johnny Depp sets historic salary record
The legendary Johnny Depp hasn't even put on his pirate's pants before he earns a breathtakingly 346 million norwegian kroners for the upcoming fourth Pirates of the Caribbean-movie.
Johnny "Jack Sparrow" Depp (45) is lucky these days. When the powerful movie company Disney decided to make a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, there was no doubt about who they wanted to play the leading role. The people who runs the money at Disney, has arranged a golden million dollar contract which the superstar simply couldn't resist.
This means that Johnny Depp gets an advanced payment of 346 million norwegian kroners, no matter how well the movie makes it world wide.
With this deal, Johnny Depp crushes previous records, and passes Will Smith (40) as Hollywood best paid actor. If you add the incomes of his other movies, Depp will earn about 776 million norwegian kroners this year.
Many people can't get enough money, and Johnny could easily let the enormous amounts of money get to his head, but no.. Not this guy!
Only four weeks ago, it was announced that Depp is among those who is to replace late Heath Ledger in the move The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. And toghether with Colin Farrel (32) and Jude Law (35), Johnny has decided to donate all the incomes of the movie to Heaths adorable daughter, Matilda.
"The three actors were true heroes when they came. It's not often that a tragedy like this happens, and some very famous, very successfull actors just says: Okay, we'll do anyting to help", says movie director Terry Gilliam (67), according to BANG.
Johnny Depp obviously hasn't much to feel blue about these days. He does not only have the most money bringing face in the world, he was also recently announced as the world's sexiest man by the british Cosmopolitan!"
As I said, I don't know how much of this is true, for example; have we seen any confirmation for POTC 4?
But anyways, I thought it was a good read... At least the article shows what a wonderfull personality he has, even if it only shows a small part of it..
