I'm a bit chilly too, got my fingerless gloves on as I type.
The heater has hardly shut off all day, howling wind whipping the snow around.

I don't think that the cold will delay our school though, unless someone
unplugs the buses.
They better not, cause I need these kids to go to school so I can have my life back.

Thanks to all who shared their snow, I think I remember it now , yes in fact I do, though somehow most of it escaped my li'l corner of the world. Since Ma Nature couldn't decide whether to send blizzard or tornado, having tried each out to the north and to the south, she settled instead for a wee bit of flooding and is now cheerily freezing some very confused usually-migratory-but-not-this-year birds of various types, the poor dears.

Wilma, were your ears burning, or at least not frozen off? Thinking very similar thoughts as you just expressed, I was only moments ago growling to NSDSD how if we lived in Michigan there WOULD be school tomorrow, and if it is called off it just goes to show we're total woosies. I've got to go. to. work. NSDH, even with his four weeks' vaca, fuzzy deadlines, and union protection -- yes I do understand the pressure I snarled to him when we heard of the expected temperature shift, but I have none of those benefits and am trying to keep this at-will temp-to-perm job that's taken me two years to find -- has to go to work, too, after a week of the youngest being very ill and both of us splitting time off, yet at the same time no, we don't want to leave three kids home alone together who are likely to burn the house down even when we don't need the extra heat.

Dr. Pepper. Burbon. Burbon. I'd be there if I could. I'm loving these pics too, btw, helps me go to that ever so needed happy place, yummm, arms and eyeliner, the week is looking better already.

We don't close cause it's cold, unless some jerk unplugs the buses.
(electric heaters keep the diesel fuel from gelling and the starter from freezing up)
We have -5° and I don't want to know what the wind chill is.

I do feel sorry for the little kids who have to walk to school in this.
