Morning dahlings~ Spent yesterday quietly reflecting, catching up with a dear friend, consoling
a DD who was reeling from a break-up with her boyfriend and literally, just trying to stay warm. If the temp
is dropping into the 20's in Florida, just imagine what it is up here in the frozen north. Sigh. More eyeball
freezing weather. It is tiresome.


So, I was asked yesterday, how I can walk the dog in such weather. The answer is: layers, to which my friend
commented that in layers, she would look like the Michelin man. Well no shit. We ALL look like that and add the
ice everywhere, we all have to walk like penguins to keep from falling on our arses. I have to say that given the
garb, the walk, the chapped skin on my face and just a bit of general lack-lustre in my countenance since that
dreadful virus wiped me out, I would have to say that I am, at this point in time (and maybe for the first time
in several years) definitely NOT Johnny-ready.


Good thing the man was seen in Chicago and not Toronto. Hope he is bundled. One thing for sure, he would blend
in...like a penguin-walking Michelin man amongst the many.


Maybe there is something to be said about the anonymity of the bundled seasonal dress of our winters...
He should move here. Just sayin'~


On to the usuals Thursday stuff...


Thursday...so double the Deppness and thrust your Thursdays. Not sure what that means but have fun
figuring it out and doing what you all do so very well...keeping our hut humming along. Coffee's on. It's hot.
Hurry and drink up before it bloody well freezes.

into the snow drifts wearing those bulky ugly brown snow suits
all the time - you know the ones which didn't allow for movement
( arm and leg like - not the other kind Idzy)
AND
with the plastic bags
( not me - I'm l'il bag)
in our boots to keep our feet dry
So no bloody complaining -
we have it damned easy now in comparison
just saying......again

Just checking in...I am still alive down here....just buried under work and more work...

Also trying to sort out one kid back to uni this week and a DH that seems to be suffering the early signs of dementia...at least that is my excuse cos I would rather believe he forgets than that the bastard never listens to a word I say...

Also sorting passport applications etc etc for my world tour in September/October...I will need a holiday from organising the holiday by the time we get there..

No time to post pics... I am running late...again....

Babs.. eyeball freezing does not make for good shopping. Yet you crazy cannucks do it anyway see exhibit A above ^^. beats me how you acclimate. We get an inch here and everyone crashes their cars and stays in the house til' it all melts. We are wimpy here in CA you know. And yes I own a snow shovel but we only use it to scoop up leaves lol.and whatever Jim dishes out... lol just sayin..

Since I've been home, my days and nights are mixed up
and I never seem to get back until everyone is going to
sleep. Plays even more havoc with my memory which is not
good to begin with.

I recall a lot of people had bed head yesterday, lol and we
are all still entranced with the Oscar lips and hands putting
pressure on hips. ~sigh~

CC you are correct, I'm an east coaster. Live right outside
of Philadelphia. Tis very cold here too. I feel so bad for your
window situation. We just got ours replaced and so far so
good.

Choc's Sheldon pics have me mesmerized. Now I'm in a Sands
mood.

LOL. I had to check out the Manor Nightclub... now I now what he was up to there.
Manor's brick facade stands out along this older stretch of North Central Avenue with its strikingly clean wall; even if there were no large sign beckoning potential customers, you would still want to come inside for a drink. Within those immaculate brick walls, Manor has a full slate of pool tables (no pun intended), eight bowling lanes and a full bar.
