Happy Holey Day everyone.



Do to severe thunder storms in eastern Pa., we lost power
for several hours yesterday. Major roads were closed due to
all the trees that were literally ripped out of the ground.
They crashed into houses and some folks still don't have power.
They are fearing floods when the Delaware River crests today.

Just caught up here and I have to say, I do 'ove you all.
You guys are the best.
I also have worked with women all my life and I agree, it can
be very trying. I've made some great friends but can't
understand how women can be so deliberately mean to each
other and be such back biters. If one's not PMSing then they're
in menopause. It's always something. Our place is run by
women who have never married and have no compassion
when you need to be home with your children. Oh well.

That's why I love coming here and reading about all the normal
and not so normal trials and tribulations we go through and how
we are here for each other.
Having met a lot of you I can only say there is nothing like it
and hope we all get the chance to meet each other, like some
of you have said, when the time is right.

Idzea, congrats on you new "position". Good for you, you deserve
it. Sounds like you have nice digs. My DS goes to cyber school
also. Best thing we ever did. Please forgive mommy bragging here:
He was one of 6 in the state to get all A's and when he finishes
high school he'll have his associates degree. They don't just
take anyone either. One of his friends who was promoted in
public school was told he would need to repeat 8th grade for
them to admit him.

Hoping now that I'm home I'll be able to get in here more often.
Been sleeping so much, lol, it's all I can do to keep up with just
reading let alone posting.

You all do my heart good and I say it again, I 'lov you all.

Debb, sorry to hear you're under the weather. Sending healing
thoughts to you.

Wenchie, I'm so proud of you! Whatever happens, you've taken
more steps to finding your true self and nothing is better than
that. You go girl.

Hope Babsy and Choc had a great time. I'm sure they did.

I've been down and sleeping for nearly 18 hrs
and prob. heading back again.
We had roomie's b'day party yesterday and I was
just propped in the corner trying to look festive.
(at least they didnt stick a hat on my head and a noise
maker in my mouth)

Maybe I'll try a Vicks vaporrub remedy


tho roomie's brother recommended a stop at the
liqour store for Dr Mcgillicuddy's.

Today it is so icky out they have'nt been able to clear much of the snow away hopefully they will get this done some time today!!!

It is suppose to get to mid 50's by Wed. & Thurs. this week
next thing to watch for will be flooding with all this snow!!!

This one hour ahead stuff is sucky.
Me no likey loosing time. But guess tis all relative.

Sunny , cool and breezy out in my neck of the
woods today. Far better than it was yesterday.
We have power...never lost it and NYC was fine as well.
Sorry to hear Philly area went dark. Been hearing
the about the fury some parts of the east experienced.
Mama Nature reminding us who's in charge.

Well, Babs looked great and met with her and Mr. Babs
and their travling companions/friends at the pub.
She sends her hello to everyone here.
Their drive in went well enough, though they did experience
snow, ice , rain and wind here and there during the
drive in. Took a little longer in some parts, so they were
happy that they left EARLier than planned.

We had our usual fun time with good food and drink
and chatted some Johnny and some not Johnny, but
in the end, it eventually led back to Johnny

Though the visit was short and sweet, we made the
most of it, and if time permits, we may still get another
chance to meet up with them before they head back home.
They have plans to see a play and do some additional
NYC touring in the days they're in town.
We will play it by ear.

Thanks TruD.

I apologize for sounding boastful but for a long time he
was just getting by.
He has ADHD and wanted to stop taking his medication
because he is short for his age and some of his friends
are over 6 feet and shaving, lol. He's 15
So we found about cyber school and he flourished because
he has no one around to distract him and no one for him
to distract, lol. He is starting to catch up in height.

They gave him a laptop, all books and supplies, paints,
microscope, chemistry equipment, etc. They have regular
classes, home room, that you attend with the other kids
on line and talk live with classmates and teachers.
They even have extracurricular activities.
They call it school without bricks.
It's very cool.

yes.. thats what Kelli is in too. No brick and mortar. They send us teh computer, books and everything. I LOVE IT in fact we will be more than likely setting up the other kids as soon as we settle in LA.
I am glad you are doing it to ME.. now i have someone to relate it with !
Glad the trippy went well Choc... happy to hear Mr and Mrs Babs made it ok.
