Morning dahlings~ Losing the sun here today and maybe getting that rain that showered over
Johnny the other night. Maybe if I keep that thought, the rain won't bug me so much when I take my
poochie out for his morning constitutional. I don't do rain.

There's nothing I love more than water droplets on the specs~ Good thing Johnny tends to carry
a hanky or some such rag with him~

Okay...we're at mid week and that means it is hump day. AND, it also means that I have two (well actually
three for those that will be picky) more sleeps til I go to the wild west of Canada. I wonder if I will
come home with a cowboy hat~? Maybe boots? Pink?? Do they make cowboy sandals?

Wednesday dear ladies...hump day. Coffee's on and it's hot~ I am not fussy on those
pumpkin spice lattes but this jacket kinda reminds me of pumpkin. Just sayin~

sunny here again today, supposed to get rain this afternoon,
then again,it was supposed to rain yesterday and be sunny on monday, both of which were wrong,so,

I much prefer to wait and hear what Wilmas having,

Hello.....

To all of you!!! Its a better day today knowing that
she went peacefully. DH said that she must have laid down
and never woke up. I know she is just a dog, but she was
my Sarahgirl and I loved her for 13 years! My pets are my
family and each one has their own little personality and each
one is missed oh so much when they go.........

Having said that and started the tears again....I want to
wish you all a great day!!! DH is on his way to Miami this
morning......guess Sarah knew I would freak right out had
this happened while he was gone........God love her!!

I heard this morning that one of the islands in Hawaii was
evacuated because of an erupting volcano....I sure hope
JJDI is not anywhere near!!!!

MoHo, I am sorry to hear about your doggie. It is good she went peacefully, the poor dear. They aren't just dogs, they are our loyal and devoted family members. We lost ours of fourteen years in February. She must have been getting a spot in heaven waiting for my FIL, who passed last month. She always shared a special bond with him on her visits. It's been one hell of a freakin' year.

By the by, anyone want an 18 year old? Anyone? Female, graduating soon, hard worker. Requires some supervision and guidance. helloooo

Ponder on that. Seems I've left our other loyal and devoted family member tied out in the drippy stuff. oops.

S'pose I should explain the kid thing, so's no one thinks I'm into human trafficking via a Johnny Depp website. oh wow

OMG that's not even remotely funny.

DSD and DSS have been through quite a bit of emotional turmoil in their lives. As soon as I met them I always said to their father he would have custody of them by the time they were 12. He said I was talking nonsense. 1) Their mother would never let them go. 2) If she did, she'd never allow him to keep custody and fathers never keep custody in court. I said, just you wait. Sometimes hate it when I'm right. Fast forward through lots of crap to the recent past. So dear rich mumsy is going to take DSD and rescue her from her evil father and even more diabolically derranged stepmother as soon as she's out of HS, right? That's been the plan all along. Well, two months to go, and the poor kid is in limbo, we are flat broke, we've had nothing set up for her since she was leaving after all, she doesn't even have a drivers license, her job is part time, yadda yadda yadda.

Guess what I'll be doing today? Setting up life for a 18 year old kid.

Thank heavens for moist pumpkin cakes up there, he does appear when he is needed.

I was missing JJDI and came here to say it...great minds all thinking alike I see. I sure hope her weather is WAY better than ours and no volcanoes going off--tho that would be an adventure, wouldn't it? It's cold and drippy here too but they are telling us we will be warmer tomorrow and next, I hope. I want to put all but my lightest sweaters away for a while.

Vianne Rant away dear, this is deppinately the place to do it safely. FYI my brother and his wife took in her very challenged nephew a few years back, it was a rough first year but they are all doing well now. Just hang in there, your heart's in the right place and the rest will follow. Money's a bitch but what kids need most of all is love and someone who plans for them. I know first hand.

Sweaters makes me think of our dear JD and I hope he has lots of snuggly ones in his trailer and hotel room and warm blankies too.

Hope Tim is warm and dry too...he looks like he is waay sleep and hug-deprived here poor man. Must be tough being the background to Mr. I Make Grampa Sweaters Sexy all the time. Glad he has voluptuous Hel to warm him up!

Anyone have any tips on Bday themes for 12 year girl birthdays when the girl is determinedly NOT a girly girl and has already done dragons, zoo, pottery, jungle, seashore, bowling???? Help! She does still want a themed party but her dad, she and I are stumped. She is very artistic, maybe we should do portraits or something...gah! This is worse than Halloween decision-making!!

Too cold for humpies today. Snugglies is what we need...rainy days and fair.
