Beanie
, Wheat Jeans was just a 'color'
like Blue Jeans...but in the 60s it was
a must have--at least in this part of
the USA. We wore Bass Weejuns shoes
(penny loafers) if we weren't wearing Keds
in colors to match our 'outfits'

omg. Sad banana
we thought we looked so good.

I did that for about one season.
Then I developed my "own" look...
and headed off to art school.

(See, Fanny? Some things never change~
You're applying red over black. She's just
lookin' for her "own" look.)

Shoes? What shoes Eek Are they Weejuns? teehee

Hey cc...we were "it" teehee

waaaah Guess what girls, I just broke one of my guitars strings. I was trying to tune it and I tightened one of the strings to tight and next thing I know it broke and hit my finger picking hand. Didn't hurt much. I have no idea how to fix it. Man I can't believe I was that stupid. waaaah

Beanie

what are penny loafers....are you people not speaking english anymore??

the more questions you answer the more questions it raises LOL

I always had my own look..I used to paint a black tear under my eye with eyeliner in the early 80's way way way before Johnny made Cry Baby...and I had plum coloured hair..I looked.....silly :(

Oh Beanie, years *cough* ago,
I used to paint a little star under my eye with eyeliner.
I used to have a purple streak in my hair too.

And, guess what? I just bought some black nail polish.

cc, never heard of Wheat Jeans. In the summer of 1974 mine--the ones I wore senior year of HS and also in the production of Hair!--were hip-hugging, bell-bottomed jeans (Lee or Levis which was all that was sold in my little midwestern town) that had been worn and worn and worn and had the side seams split up from the bottom so we could insert fabric to make the bell even bigger...and I embroidered little flowers and vines on the tops of the pockets... and I wore a macrame belt to complete the effect... My hair was almost waist length and parted right down the middle. We wore tie-die and bandanas and went barefoot as much as possible. The guys had as much or more hair than the girls, which they grew for the show... I played Sheila (Franklin, NYU, 2nd semester and she's a protester!)--ack, some lines never leave the brain, they lurk, waiting for the opportune moment! As Johnny says, the characters are alllll in there..... I have pictures but the scanner is down...good thing! I must tell you that we did NOT do the infamous nude scene because the local police told us they would shut the show down if we did. And they came to opening night just to be sure! teehee

Beanie....Loafers are casual shoes, leather
and very comfy!

I threw some curlers in my hair like I usually
do when it's almost dry...can you say Puffy
..DH says...are you going to work like that u big stoopid
with a big stupid grin on his face u big stoopid

Maybe I'll wake up to a better look...waaaah

Maybe I should shave my head waaaah

Ok enough of that!

Well...I'm going to bed. I have a really bad sore
throat with a cough....Sweet Johnny Dreams to
all my Lovely Ladies....and I do love youJohnny Luv

Remember, I love him like you all do...

And because he's my PASSION...

And for Johnny....just because....no reason needed, is there?

You have all been busy this weekend. Me too.
My computer has been mostly doing kids homework.
Book reports, State reports, *sigh* I hate homework.

I can't remember everything that you gals have been up to this weekend,
but I know fanny was doin' it in the yard, (isn't it still a little cold for that?)
In these here parts, We usually wait until the first of May for that sort of thing.

You know the old saying, "Yay, Yay! the first of may, outdoor screwing
begins today!"

You must be hardy souls. teehee

cc...Bass Weejuns, yes, I wore them too, as a matter of fact, I just gave
my old pair to my daughter. They haven't fit me since I had my 3rd kid.
So why were they still under my bed?

Beanie, and choc, I admire your unique styles when you were young.
I always looked just sort of regular. Well except for those Sweeney
streaks in my hair.... but I didn't put them there.

Dram did her walking, I didn't do mine. I could take a lesson from you darlin'.

Smitty worked everything out, so she could go. Good for you!

QP, broke her string, sorry about that, glad it didn't hurt you too badly.

KK, you just finished your taxes? I would be a mess if I waited till the
last minute. I hate that job.

Rusty, I did inventory in an OLD hardware store. We counted the
nails,... by the pound.

I'm too tired stay up any longer.
I hope you all have had a nice weekend.
Sleep well.

Wilma, just missed you. Hug
I just got back ~
My mum was having some digestive
issues...so I made her some Jell-O
took it over. . .cut her toesie nails;
chatted wif her a bit--we lay on
her bed and talked about how stubborn
men are. teehee

Kk, sore throat? Oh no. Not good.
Stay home from work; drink warm things.
gargle...

Choc you and Beanie had a style
EARLy on...I was too scared to
step out of line. Had something to
do with being a Colonel's daughter,
I guess.

Beanie, Hunny...I'll make you a "phrase book"
That's so funny. Trouble is, it all depends
on what part of the country you're in.
Phrases vary not only from state to state,
sometimes from county to county !!

QP, once you learn how to replace one
broken string, you will always remember how.
(You will also get the tightening knack teehee )
Glad it didn't hit ya in the face.

Dear Dram, wheat jeans were almost 10 years
before your HS time...But I do remember kids in my
brother's group sewing extra panels in their bells to
make them extra wide !!
For you Dram...to end our walk down memory lane ~

Love this place...and all of you
