So, we will be absent for a bit but will try and

What's next for Johnny now that Oshkosh has wrapped up?
I understand he is back in LA for the weekend, at least.
Not sure when he goes back to work or location.
The info is out there, I just haven't checked the
Depp/Dillinger calendar.

Good morning, Laydees....
Well, yesterday was a day of great success and some disappointment. Smitten got a very special moment with the man and I'm sure she will tell you all.

Although we waited for 10 hours, I let two young girls in front of me and missed a special handshake and even a hug from the sweet man, but they got a moment instead. I knew it was going to happen so I decided to make a video and I'm just a dumbass I didnt' take it off standby apparently and didn't get a thing and it would have been soooo good too.
The crowd had to be at least two thousand and the line wrapped around the block and was at least 25 or so deep. He spent about 3 hours or more, shaking hands and giving hugs and kisses. He was very slow about moving through the crowd and Jerry kept moving him along.... LOL. When he got to us he paused at a girl standing next to me who had met him twice before and she always cried when she met him, and did again. She told him that the next day was her birthday and he said, "Happy Birthday" and gave her a hug. Then he stopped for the girls in front of me and spoke to them and gave them each a hug, and tickled one's face and grinned. The other said she loved him in Sweeney Todd. He looked surprised and said, "It wasn't too scary for you?" The girl replied, "Oh, no." I think he said "Bless your heart" and gave her a hug as well... then it was Sara's turn... All I can say is Wow! He moved down the line slowly, shaking hands and finally got to the end. I tried to get some still photos but there were just too many people. He got into the SUV and we saw him waving as he left the street... I'm glad he's off this weekned.. Maybe to Chicago for the weekend and then up to Manitowash Waters for filming next week.

I had made some mini clips earlier as we witnessed an car chase scene right in front of us, and those videos came out. However the clip of the moment the meet and greet (and what a great film it would have made as well) was over, did I have a sneaking suspicion that it didn't come out, and wasn't positive until I got it downloaded (or the lack there of) this morning.

I didn't get much in the way of other photos of him coming and going either, but the memory of the sweet moment will never be erased.
I did try and like I said it would have been one of the best cos he was messing with the kiddies right in front of me and of course, Sara's moment, etc. Bottom line, do NOT hire me as a photographer!!! teehee

All I can say is oh, well, it was not meant to be.

We got home at 1:00 after a 2-1/2 hr drive and dinner at Denny's at about 1:00 and fell into bed lastnight/this morning about 2:00. Sara's still asleep and I'm sitting here with a cuppa and good memories of last night.

He was so wonderful - the crowds were triple what we had in Crown Point, bordering nearly the entire block near the base camp. It took about 2-1/2 hours to see everyone. Left about 9:30, missed a turn but got back on track soon.

I'm so glad Smitten had her moment. It was so sweet and wonderful .. cos that's why we were there. We did get a few autographs from some of the other stars: Stephen Dorff, Chris Stolte, Emilee from "Lost" and even Matt, our ever friendly and faithful security guard. The MPI security people were the best! Even the stand ins were fantastic folks and came over to meet and greet during the day.

We met another of Johnny's PAs, who was so cute and funny, called out to our "Uncle" Buck, and met many of the stage hands who work with JD and just had a marvelous, albeit COLD time waiting for the moment.

Well, I'm going to read a bit til Smitty wakes and we'll take today and tomorrow as "coming down to earth" days. Maybe take in Chicago tomorrow. We'll see.
