OMG...I am so nervous~ Idz asked me to stand in for her as opening bartender but damn. I know coffee.
Not so good at mixing drinks. Good thing I have some help, though he tends to be more of a distraction~

So, here I sit, watching Johnny tend to the bar all the while wracking my brain, trying to get you started
for the weekend. Short of getting up and dancing in the bar (while NOT singing!) I am leaning towards
a bit of the Niche Noir. Ya know how Johnny just looks so damn good in shades of grey~

Also, we began a fabo thread this morning over in the Hut so if you have anything to add to the
wonderful stories, please do.

--he wears multiple rings but isn't a gaudy boy, had tatoos that make him look like a fascinating book cover...Damn, I could read him all night. No, make that Forever.

"Just pour me one of what you're having please. I haven't had a drink in months so price is no matter."

"Me? Red wine darlin'. French and old."

"Okay, that's fine."

He pours from his private bottle. I nod that he should have one too. He glances sideways but the Barista has suddenly gone numb. She smiles weakly and waves her hanky-ish bar rag at us. He and I raise our glasses.

"Today is my one week anniversary! And you helped me get here!!"

"What anniversary?"

"Does it matter---it was a victory!"

"Ah. Well then: to new horizons!"

"Indeed. And bartender, buy the Barista a round, she appears to be in need of some grounding."

"Yeah, she's been a bit nervous tonight. First night and all. Good lady though."

"I know."

We drink. We smile. I melt into the stool. The hunnies pour in and round us bearing books and guitars and tales of bosses and kids and hubbies and adventures. Life is good here in the Belles, with the belles, at all bells of the day and night. appears

tiramisu for a special chef I know and the DH is
helping.... *sigh* He's all thumbs at the moment and
