Woohoo DH has redeemed himself...he has decided to get the visa and come with me...he was not impressed that I was going to go without him so he had no choice....added to that I finished the last of the travel booking today...we are spending 2 nights in London and shall be doing Cipriani's for dinner one night ...if I can get a table...and then 3 nights in Paris in the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen...then we are driving around France for 8 days including going all the way to the French Riviera. DH has completly redeemed himself and he even helped me work in the garden today..

Well, I bought a cookbook yesterday
was at the groceries this morning
and made an almond creme.
changed the recepee a bit according to what was available in our tiny shop.
took rum instead of sherry
form Rustys Canadian maple syrup instead of sugar ( mmm Thanx Rusty)
and added curd cheese to make it more creamy and less sweet.
- proud of my first new created meal since years ! - and it's yummy Lets Eat

watched AWE last night and added a few caps of dear Jack

More Mother's Day ala James

All I want for mothers day is more Puffs with lotion ta. Spent the night in bed with my puffs/lozenges/water bottle/pills/ and more Puffs. On the upside I Did manage to finish my book though, :Whistling in the Dark" twas good, and I never figured it out up till the end, hate it when you figure it out in the middle. Twas a good read, and small soft cover, so was able to balance it in one hand with tissue in the other. Tried the old stick the tissue up each nostril and just leave it there trick, worked for about 10 min till nsdd came in and saw me, told everyone else who came to laugh at me, insensitive sots.

Beans, don't you hate it when they redeem themselves, cause ya know, it's only a matter of time till they fuck up again. Enjoy while it lasts.

Russet,yes tomorrow I shall receive the crumpled, sticky, ripped card from the bottom of the deep dark backpack. Eldest dd asked what or where I would like to go for dinner for Mothers Day. I said oh are you paying to which she gave me the "you've been taking too many pills look" so I guess just the fact that they offered to actually give up their time and stay in for dinner with me is the gift. Sad banana

I think I will be ordering in, people with tissue tusks hanging out of their noses aren't really conduscive to meal enjoyment for the other patrons. I'm thinking Chinese, I like a good chinese. umm, no, um no

JDI, why don't you just change the name to "whatver tf I have on hand casserole" and yes, hold the nuts when you make it for me. Unless of course we are talking about the company, cause then I know I would be surrounded by nuts.

Hunnies, I am still have computer woes.
I didn't get enough time yesterday to thoroughly
investigate what the matter might be.

And then my brother and his family arrived.

But, they had a change of plans and are
heading back to Maryland later today...
they have an appointment to look at a house
and for now, of course, finding a suitable habitat
takes priority.

Anyway, it is just a comfort to know he is only
a few hours away; I am looking right now at my
nephew playing video games with his hero (my DS)
and it makes me smile. My DS has needed the
camaraderie of a cousin.

Camaraderie is a part of his every day
