notihng like waking up mothers day and realizing in the efforts to surprise me and mom with a good thing.. they have managed to DESTROY the house which was clean cause Mom is coming home today.
Needless to say... I have posted a HUGE orange flyer on the fridgerator door:

Where you efforts in creativity are greatly appreciated... the status of the dining, living, family rooms, Laundry and kitchen and backyard dissaray is strinkingly alarming and I am now on strike for the rest of the day.

I'm posting blind this afternoon, so I want to first say Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and share with you how greatful I am for good friends and my wonderful daughter.

My daughter's friend Megan's mom is 57 and was diagnosed with ALS a few months ago. She has had ALS for the past three years and is rapidly losing her life. Megan is only 19 years old and has had to grow up very fast, and become her mother's voice and strength. Her mom can no longer speak, or swallow or walk. She comunicates with a dry eraser board and spends all her time watching movies or TV and Megan and her sister and mom have no other family.

Last week Megan was here hanging out with the other kids on a rare night of freedom leaving her mom cared for by the younger sister. She said "Oh Jenny yesterday my mom watched Inside The Actor's Studio with Johnny Depp and she is in love." We laughed and I told her well there is nothing for it but to feed her love and enjoy the addiction.

This morning my daughter and I went to a nice brunch and I got text messsages from all of her girl friends including Megan. I told Corinne oh Megan texted me isn't that sweet and then Corinne burst into tears and told me Megan called her last night and was crying because this would be her last Mother's Day with her mom. Suddenly we looked at eachother and knew we had to do something for Megan's mom. So off we went on a Johnny DVD treasure hunt grabbing as many Johnny movies as we could get our hands on. So ten Johnny movies later Corinne took them to Megan's mom. Corinne said her eyes lit up and she hugged them to her chest and wrote on her eraser board how happy she was and that she and Megan would spend their Mother's Day together watching Johnny movies. Tears all around ladies, and I have to say this is the best Mother's Day I have ever had.

Johnny seems to pop up one way or another in our lives and always in wonderful ways.....so Happy Mother's Day to all!!!!
