Just a quick g’day and thanks cc for the life sized pix...tho dayum, my monitor has fingerprints all over it now!! I have used up all my typing finesse writing emails that were long overdue...when will we be able to just clap a sensor on our forehead and beam answers to all and sundry? Although on second thought, might not always be so good as my first responses can be less than diplomatic, I confess. Okay, holiness...and holeyness too!

AMEN!! and Happy Weekend, Johnny. Best wishes for a great birthday celebration with Lily-Rose when/where ever it happens. She has the best daddy ever!

Hi hunnies....

Yesterday was absolutely fabulous!!! We had so much fun!
My sweet husband had a great time meeting Babs and Mr. Babs....
It was hard to say goodbye....

We did drink from the Fountain, although I can safely
say that nothing happened..... I still feel my age....
We walked up to the entry of the FofY and I quickly did a double take on the advertisement......you can see why.....

We had lunch outside, Babs and I sat in front of the fan....

We visited Castillo de San Marcos, the fort which was built in
the mid 1600s....we happened to arrive just as the soldiers,
dressed in the era were firing a cannon ....Mr. Babs is very
quick too.....he has quite the sense of humor and he delivers
his lines with a straight face.....we had lots of laughs....

We walked thru the city, smelled chocolate....never made
it inside though....we should have had chocolate....

We visited the Cathedral Basilica, the original foundation
started in the 1700s....and walked the beautiful
grounds of the Mission of Nombre de Dios where the
first Mass was held in America.....

We went to San Sebastian Winery and of course tasted wine....
Was great!!!! Mr. Babs stumped the tour guide....Babs stood there
with a straight face.....DH and I cracked up.....

We drove down A1A into Anastasia and ate at the Sunset Grille.....
Unfortunately, the award winning ribs Mr. Babs ordered weren't
award winning......
I drank a Sunset Colada....mmmmmm.....tasted like a frozen
Key Lime pie......with Rum.....oh and whipped cream.....

Then we headed back to the city for our ghost walk.....
That was quite fun....lots of old legends....Mr. Babs
caught several orbs, Mr. Babs now has personal orbs.....
.....we said hello to Missy Dean, whose house burned down many years ago.....the street lights flickered...
Oh and there was a Johnny mention......at the fort...

Now, I have to say, there are pirate pictures, souveniers, shops...
etc....all over St. Augustine, and they have NEVER resembled
CaptJack.....but yesterday, some of the pirate stuff we saw eerily resembled OUR pirate.....
There was a Tshirt that read "Why is the rum always gone"....and it had the outline of a skeleton-pirate.....
beads, dreads, missing teeth in the proper place in the mouth....the shirt was black and the writing and outline of the pirate was in white.
Then, where we signed in for the ghost walk, there was a beach
towel draped across a table...clearly the POTC skeleton with the
swords and beads.....was NOT Disney......
So, is the city getting ready for another pirate? The savvy one?
I don't know, but twice in the last couple of weeks there have been
Johhny mentions....in St. Augustine.......I will think at this point,
they are just rumors, but oh my, the possibilities there......

As we walked back to the car, around 11:30ish, we were punchy....
I had to warn them that I no longer have any class after 11:00....
There was a bit of sadness because I had to say good bye to my
friends ....and DH was sad because he had to part with his
new friends, which I have to say, in that 12 hour period, he became
very fond of......He told me on the way home that he had such
a great time and that he was so glad he met them.......I was happy..... They are, after all, wonderful folks.....
Smart, funny, witty.......lovely, lovely friends!!!

BTW.....Happy Anniversary!!!! 27 years! AWESOME!!!

Babs....thanks for my trinket, and my plaque......its right where
I told you I would put it and I will think about YA'LL everytime
I look at it........

OK....must get my sore butt up and do something.....even
if it is wrong....

I was outside digging and planting posies.
pink petunias and white alyssum; had to

So, I bet everyone is out and about doing

Ya know, here it is almost 7 o'clock pm and
every once in awhile I still think 'bout that
dream I had last night? Aaaaand well, it just
makes me smile and feel kinda good in me
heart.

Morning all...well morning for me...I did plan to pop in over the weekend but alas I was buried in spreadsheets...no not bed sheets...unfortunately...and the task continues...except now instead of being at my desk at home sipping red wine whilst contemplating why Excel thinks 2 plus 2 equals 5 I am now chained back to my office desk...alas the weekend has been and gone.....no long weekend for me...and tis Monday in the land time forgot..

I am so sad to hear about the incident in Chicago and I hope Jerry gave the bastards hell...Johnny is such a sweetie he deserves to be treated with respect...if those were my kids their would be hell to pay...I am just glad he is safe and with his family to spend a happy birthday with his baby girl.
