JJDI, looks like Jack's cleaning abilities is nowhere
near Sam's. Idzy might consider a new cleaning service.
(btw good luck Idzy in the new abode)

JJDI, as I once told a young couple at an event who had refused
to stand for the national anthem after they said they don't support the war
(the host said they were playing it for the soldiers)

I told them, "I don't believe in the war either, but I believe in the men
who are dying over there."
They stood up.

TruD my dad and brother were both in the service
(Korean War for pop, Air Force for brother)
I will be honoring their memories with everyone else today.

Bless all the troups who defend our great land
and the souls who fought so that we remain free.

Beautiful day again here in Choc's corner of Deppland.
Spent yesterday gardening which was nice,
but the next door nrighbors were having their BBQ
day and the family and cmpany were out all day.
And that meant the lil crumb grabbers were out as well,
or as the DH and I prefer to call them, the
screaming Mimi's.
I can surely understand the lil ones must get
it out of their system, but it went on ALL day.
To the point where DH and I were forced to go
inside. No Fair. Gee, I remember when I was a kid
and if my voice went over a certain volume, my
Mom would be at the back door scolding me.
Her word: "Not everyone wants to hear you scream!
Lower your voice or you come inside!"
Where wre those wise words today?

I wasnt to finish up some planting today, so hopefully,
it will be more pleasant.

I saw Smits, Wenchie and Wilma in here yesterday too!
And Mo, I enjoyed your recap of your day with
Babs and Mr. Babs. Yes, will agree with you there,
they are two of the nicest folks I have ever know.
And Mr. Babs is a great guy. Mr. Choc thinks he true blue.
I bet Mr. MoHo and Mr. Choc would get along great too!
It's so good when the DH's are cool with the Johnny stuff.

Roomie's brother's BBQ had the same karma...
neighbors rebuilding next door..
nothing but pounding and hammering and electric saw buzzes

but I did get to try some Pumpkin Ale. I recall that being
discussed some moons ago. I liked it, but I still want my Corona.

My infamous baked beans are in the oven slow cooking for todays
BBQ at my mom's.

yes its true i am a piker that lives under Uluru and do walkabouts on Sunday afternoons downing my plonk.
In fact usually i am havin a spag bol while im chasing wombats thru the bush.

no no...thats all a fat furphy, I actually have a botched internal clock... set up to be able to get critical company work done while children are sleeping... I know.. im sucha dag arent I?

yes I too have issues with loud parties next door. It is one thing to come and tell your neighbors you are having a shindig and warning them ahead of time so they can either leave or join you... but I never have to do that cause i dont allow LOUD activities outside that annoy anyone else residing close by. I dislike inconsiderate people.


Yes... bless our troops past and present. My father served in the British Navy was let out 4 days after D Day... his 20th birthday.
He used to patrol the English Channel on a lil PT boat. Totally crazy stories i hear from him.
I honor him today....

He can have my marshmallows any time he wants them.

I'm sorry that some of you have such inconsiderate neighbors. I have one
of those too. He is hard of hearing so he plays his radio outside turned
up very loud. He plays Mexican music, sometimes allllll day long. Not to
mention the yelling at his grandkids that he babysits for. They all yell.


I did my mowing Friday, before supper. So our weekend was pretty
quiet, well except for the Mexican.

Choc, I did once tell a loud neighbor kid that she had better be more
quiet, or she would wake up the snakes living under my compost pile.
It worked, she was scared of snakes. ( was there really snakes under
there? I don't know, there could have been. )
