Universal smoke can be seen here even in Santa Clarita...I know for sure the King Kong attraction burned,and of course a film vault, just hope they keep it under control, there is alot of brush and hills directly behind the studios and hundreds of houses...fingers crossed...

cc - thank you, Darling. No, still not sleeping much at all - and tis taking it's toll, because this has been going on too long by far. Best I seem to get is 3 hours at a time if I am lucky. Always something to wake me, those middle of the night phone calls, DH restless and up, chasing fish... like last night. Said he had to filet it...
Here is the story... It's really quite funny.

I heard a noise... the damn thing is out here swimming on the table...

No... look, says he, armed with a screw driver.
It is one of those water activated fish. You throw it in the pool and it swims, right? Pretty cool. But it has no on/off switch. So water must have got inside to activate it after it was pulled out of the pool last night. And sure enough, there it was, on the table, flopping about...
So he took the batteries out.
But this is how my nights go. One things after another. A truck crashing into a house. Like this from the other night
Crashing vehicles into houses seems to be a national past time here... I have no clue why but it happens quite a bit!
Anyway, DH gets notified any time there is a fire, or a residence involved, or a firefighter hurt, or whatever... he gets notified no matter the time of day or night.
Dispatch! Dispatch! Dispatch!
So I think the both of us have gotten into this little cycle of being awakened and neither of us can seem to get out of it. But the thing is, he can go back to sleep. I don't seem able to. And if I try to nap in the day time, guaranteed something wakes me just as I am about to drift. It's like THEY KNOW... how do they know? LOL
I'd pull my hair out but it doesn't need any help!

Awful news about Universal Studios... That is a tragic loss. Hope they get it under control asap. Fires are so devastating. I wonder how it started?
