Well the heat finally hit northern Choc land.
But all is OK.

It was the not-perfect ending to a less than perfect week: As of last Friday, I have an eye problem which is making my right eye far less functional than normal and there is not a damn thing the doctor can do about it. Very frustrating. It is something that normally happens for "older" folks in their 60s or older but lucky me, I'm aging at a very advanced rate! Then my bridge fell out and my dentist (new, really nice and competent) tells me I need a new one because my old one was improperly constructed and that's why it keeps falling out. However Delta Dental will not pay for a new bridge until 2011. So I will have to limp along paying $54 each time the thing falls out, because a new one costs $4300. On top of that I need two root canals and crowns, which ARE covered by Delta. Cost to me: $130 per root canal, $450 per crown. There goes my 3.5% raise, and more. Literally, I found out about the raise in the morning and went to the dentist in the afternoon...POOF! Hey Choc, we’re under the same moon for weird mouth stuff... Meanwhile the credit card payments and car payment and insurance payments are all still due, and the damn condo has not sold and... well, you know. Some days I just want to throw things! Big, expensive, glass things that will shatter loudly and make a mess. Makes me unnerstand why one would occasionally trash a hotel room, or brandish a big stick as a certain BF has done once in a blue moon. Fortunately I have managed to stay away from the crystal cabinet so far. I AM grateful to be alive and feeling stronger most days and to have great—no, scratch that she is amazing--kid and to have a job with benefits (yes, thank you Universe!!!) but sometimes the day to day gets a bit much.
and of course our lovely two-left-footed BF. He can stumble onto my feet any time...
