Well, I am closing down, even before I can even post a pic or two. Severe storms are rolling through,
tornado watches, hail, high winds and rain...not to mention the lightening. I wish it didn't freak
me so. It's beautiful but damn frightening.

Coffee's on...it's hot and freaky today.

A little side note.
While we were recuperating, my almost 89 year old mother requested that we watch the 21JS DVDs. teehee

So we sit and watch. Those shows really hold up. It's a shame Johnny didn't enjoy them.

I'm up and at it early this morning. Have to get DS#2 to his drivers training class.
It's cooler here this a.m. Maybe if the skeeters will leave me alone, I'll have
my coffee out on the porch. I hope all of you finally get a break from the heat.
Don't be afraid of the lightning, it helps the crops grow. Just stay safely inside.

Well, our BF enters his 45 + 1 solar year and is pobably
going to be bizy bizy bizy now straight through

PE to completion.

Well, I'm Baaaaaack!
What a day yesterday was... I'm just saying I'm counting my blessings it wasn't worse. I was lucky indeed in that nothing of real value was damaged and I hope the insurance company will take care of the rest. I did get some historical files wet - the Challenger crash, some Peter Sellers stuff, things like that, but mostly just news clippings. My wedding dress box got wet but the dress itself seems to be fine. Why do I keep it? I have no idea, I think it's the idea that I made it and, of course, it's my Wedding dress. LOL You would think I had intentions of wearing it again.. LOL You betcha.
But now I have the sump pump that could beat up anyone else's sump pump. The cats went a little crazy in the flood, but it was only about 4" - even that though can make your shoes quite soggy.
But it's all cleaned up now, and a new dehumidifier is kicking ass with the moisture. We'll see how much damage is done later I guess.

So what did I do for the rest of the day? Watched Johnny movies mostly. Heard later he was in town, but I still had to hang around for the plumber to come back and install the battery back up in the evening and besides, I was whooped. Nodded out a few times, but Jack was helpful in keeping me entertained.

So he was WORKING yesterday. What a shame. I wonder if they had a party for him. That would have been sweet. eps -the pix you found are wonderful too. Thanks for that.

Well, heard that Milwaukee might be in the cards soon. I hope next week for Trudy's visit.

Now I have to figure out how to get the water heater back on. The instructions say push button #1 then Button #2. Now I have a Button #1 but there is no button #2. WTF? So I'll have to call them and tell me where the secret button is. *=bng
