Morning dahlings~ It's another beautiful day here in our neck of the woods. Have to say, we have been
enjoying a 'not so bad' summer so far...some of the flowers that were seeds a few weeks ago are blooming now.
I always love that.

I have a head of whirling words and what not...it's ALWAYS the what not that stops me up! I can't seem
to manage having anything flow from the fingertips today (which, as you know, is really tonight).

Maybe these fingers would spur my imagination...?

Who's up for a matinée on this fine summer's day? (hah...I am a poet) and geesh, just one segue
after another~

I am sure we can find a dark corner, maybe in the balcony...the Earl won't likely be inclined to protest.
And of course, we will WATCH the movie. Of course, we will.

Tuesday's coffee is on...unless you're having a craving for some tea. Earl Grey, of course. Whichever...tis hot~!

‘Twas a good weekend for me and DD. She earned a “good kid” award helping me schlep furniture out of the basement and into/onto the station wagon...
We traveled to my mom & dad’s for a weekend of family and friend visits,and me meeting my new tenant for the condo. If once you feel you don’t have enough, imagine being a single mom with a six year old daughter, four chairs, one table, 2 lamps and 1 bed to your name. I brought her a bed for her daughter and once we got it set up I thought she would cry. Oh dear me, the new owners better be nice to her or I’ll go all Smitten on them. Introduced her to some friends who live in the complex and will keep a good eye on her, then visited my auntie and her too-cute-to-bear puppy with the wonderful name of Guiness. And he does bring a sparkle to the eye and warmth to the heart without the caloric count of the original.

Raised an ice cream toast to our favorite delicious gentle man while thinking of certain high-waisted, cream colored pants with a sleeveless tee and suspenders... (reminds me of an ice cream suit—just imagine helping him lick off the ice cream from that ‘stache...) okay, to the Discipline Room I go, oh-so-willingly...

Raised the cones while visiting my friend who gave me not one but TWO giant Rolling Stone cover posters... this one

and... that one.

Blessed I am with generous and Johnny-sympathetic friends who know what/who is proceleusmatistic for me. I will need to invest in some sort of drool pad now for my bedroom as they are strategically placed on my closet and bedroom doors, so that as I type I can rest my eyes with my Captain

who will no doubt soon be jealous of the other two. He'll just have to drink more rum, I guess.

And I can now save money on makeup--I will perpetually blush with no help at all because that trinket-draped wonder can see as I dress! Keeps me motivated to stick to the salads, that’s for sure...or dress in the loo! Eek

Carry on, enjoy summer as much as you can while it’s good and not too humid or rainy!

P.S. today the massage specialist said that I can start swimming next week because the radiation burn is almost healed!!!

Had a spontaneous meeting with my old time best friend in the City
with hours of chat - also inspiring -

and then on my way home another very very wonderful and amazing experience:
bought an oracle card set of power animals, very beautifully painted
walking home I was drawn to take the longer upper path and visit "my" bench at the mountain side and outlook.
It was a marvellous evening, clearing up after several days of fog and rain and cold -
everything so pure and serene and peaceful.
I was sitting there and just listening, watching, feeling, connecting with the spirits of nature.
And all of a sudden a beautiful fox came along, barely 5 meters in front of me,
walking soundless, elegantly, smooth, looking at me for a moment and following his path (or was it a she?) and silently disappearing behind the trees.
I've never seen a fox in the wild and as close as this!
It was amazing.
When I arrived home, I checked my power animal card set
and there it was, my beautiful fox
And what it said as inspiration on the card touched my soul deeply,
it fit exactly into my being and my situation!
I sat there and tears were streaming down my face.
It's wonderful to have this connection to "my" fox now.

After this you might understand that I just didn't feel like getting on the computer
But I was thinking of you all Hug

... and Johnny who we all also have such a special connection

So to make up I am EARLy today - which seems appropriate with the matinee theme

Little Betty was already here for her nibbles. BTW, her fur
coat is growing back again. Seems like whoever was
giving her the trim hasn't done it for a while.

There is now a new visitor to Choc's cottage.
And even my cat Bishy (AKA Bishop) was eager to meet him...

"Buck" even brought along two siblings (we think)
the day before.
Two very young fawn frolicked around before scampering
back to home base in the woods.
Nature's gentle spirits seem to like my garden and from
time to time, I get visitors passing through. Very nice.

Actually Wilma, those pinchys fit in my day rather well, NSDH is back, wwnn.cough,
Anyhoo, moving right along.

Doors are in, look great, no problem, took them till 8pm to finish, but at least they don't need to return.
Of course if they had shown up before 11am maybe they would have been done sooner, but that's neither here nor there.
Or, if I hadn't brought them coffee and they didn't both ask to use the washroom 3 times, they would have been done earlier,
ORRRR if they looked like that guy Debb has hanging her doors then I wouldn't have minded if they stayed over night, but hey, it's done, they're in, fit snugly, tight as a, well, segue back to pinchy fingers scenario.

JDI, fox was red wasn't it? can't envision it any other way.
So in these cards of yours, look up deer for choco,

Fanny ~ Your new doors sound nice. When we put in
the French doors, I had searched for the perfect curtains.
And what did I end up with? Nada.
Found that I liked the openess all around.
I have no curtains on the windows either. Of course,
they all face the privacy of trees and foliage and no
immediate prying eyes, except for the occasional
peeping deer or Betty.

KKat ~ Have a good day and meeting.
I love The Libertine too. Watching his performance
still blows me away and I see something new each
time I look at it. The prologue and epilogue alone
capture just how talented Johnny is.
The subtle sarcastic expressions and gestures of his
head and eyes amaze me. Tis a talent and a inner
knowing only Johnny has.
