My sister has convinced me to attend
a tractor pull with her (to support her daughters BF...
DN is out of town at horse show)...
where's Wilma when I need her?
JG....you are a sweet nut!
As for the music thing.......I like the metal stuff, and classical,
and instrumental, and country and just plain rock.....not a
big fan of a lot of the pop or hip hop....I do like some of it...and
I DON'T LIKE RAP........at all!!! It is NOT music to me...so there!
My favorite, you all know, or most of you do know by now, is
Clapton.....he is my favorite! As guitarist go....or David Gilmour
from Pink Floyd, as yes, I am a Floydian.....
But, I can dig on Motown and love the blues and southern rock
too....matter of fact, live right down the street from the VanZant family.....and right around the corner from a Ronnie VanZant memorial park....which was his stomping grounds....and, down the street is where some of the Molly Hatchet band lives....see their motorhome pass by the house now and again.....and around the corner is where
the Lynyrd Skynyrd band used to practice....NOT THAT YA'LL CARE!!!
OK....I am rambling now....
cc.....you and me and your DS are definitely on the same sheet
of music....what say you?
Time to go.....15 minutes!

Go in mullet mode Debb......

Looks like we are talking about music in here today. How awesome I could talk your ear off about music. Right now my favorite rock artists are Sixx AM, Saving Able, Shinedown and Theory of a Deadman. I like the old stuff to like Metallica, Jefferson Airplane I love the song "White Rabbit", Queen, Ozzy Osbourne. I actually have three different rock stations programmed into my radio here at home. See ya'll in the Belles later. Later, QP
So Eric Clapton is your favorite guitarist Moho. Mine has to be Jimi Hendrix. I think he's the best guitarist ever. A lot of people would argue Jimmy Page. But I like Hendrix. I mean he was ahead of his time, he learned to play the guitar upside down because back in the day they didn't have left handed guitars. There will never be another guitarist like Hendrix; nobody plays past or present like he did.
QP....you like a variety of really good musicians....You are
right about Hendrix, although, I am pretty sure that he chose
to play the Fender upside down, or learned to play it that way....
Supposedly, he was ambidextrous....
He is an awesome guitarist in his own right and I love to see
old clips of him and hear his music......Jimmy Paige, now, is one
of the all time best too! He is awesome on acoustic as well as
electric.....Stevie Ray is one of my favs too....but, that would
seem to fit, because of that bluesy sound like Clapton....
Brian May of Queen is a good one too, as well as Eddie Van Halen....
Sorry....get carried away talking about music!
I'm not really familiar with some of these new groups.....to me,
and this is strictly MOHO opinion, the good rock is gone....
I happen to like that Johnny guy on guitar too!

Don't forget your ear plugs, Debb~
And don't bother asking how I know this...I'll never admit to anything. That's my story and I am sticking to it~

Dude I would go to a Van Halen concert just to hear Eddie play. I love when he has solos. well ya know with these new groups they grew up listening to the good rock as you call it. It all goes back to the old school rock; those fellas knew how to jam. Oh and btw I think that Johnny guy is pretty awesome on the guitar too.
Yep! You are right QP.....
Here's a little tidbit for you.....I know you've seen the
movie Twister.....well, during the credits there is the
most awesome guitar solo by Eddie.....its called
Respect the Wind......too bad you can't just buy
it....just go to YouTube and search Respect the Wind.....
there are several videos using that song......
Just listen.................awesome.........
Babs, why should she need earplugs?

just askin'.............

Too funny, Mo.
BTW, liked your camping pics, especially the spooky
crooked tree. Bucketed!
Debb ~ We expect this tractor pull
event in your concert.
Glad you liked Choc.....I love those old trees....
they tend to grow like that around the beach....
QP, "theory of a deadman" Canadian Eh, donchaknow.
sidenote here: when in California last year, as we were driving down some highway, or interstate as they/ you call them, we were coming up on a sign that said "Santa Monica Blvd, so many miles" So, I started singing, "I remember the day, you left for Santa Monica" to which the Mericans, and Babs, reg, said wtf are you singing, kinda took the wind outta my sails.
K, thats all for now, off to eat some sort of dinner that has been saved for me.
Least someone saved dinner for ya...
I was just listening the the tune you mentioned, Fanny.
Not light in the message, eh?
(I never heard it before)
(But then...)
Feels like Fallish kind of evening outside.
