I hope you all had a fabo week...and since this weekend is a turkey time, and some Italian Guy holiday ( Columbus and I need to have words) for most of the USA we will be open til Monday nite.. giving everyone a chance to study up, eat up and whatever yall are gonna do this weekend !!

It means my weather map has me with a high pressure system sitting right
where I am. I like it, makes my aches feel better and my days warmer and
sunny. Oh and the nights cold, crisp, and starry.

are all here, that Johnny appreciates me. *Yes, I tell myself that.*

I'm thankful to be alive and sittting in my dorm room at the Uni. A dream come true that is, even if it is about 20 years late. I'm also thankful for JDI and all of you hunnies who share my obsession with that Johnny guy. Yoe keep me sane.

Thankful eh? well lets see, thankful cause I have this place to visit when I need to, when I want to, and if can't make it in sgood to know it'll be here when I need it. Kinda like an old boot, smelly, worn in and much loved.

Got home from work to a houseful of DD's and no NSDH. so of course we had to hit the mall, for femaley womany things, nothing fun, no time for that. Tomorrow after work I get to race to Home Depot and pick up the whelp a lil fridge for her room when she goes back to Uni on Tuesday, cause the community sharing method just ain't working. Then Sunday, day off, I get to make pies, dye dd"2's hair black, those damn pesky blonde roots again, and stuff a bird, do laundry, etc etc, ah yes, gotta luv the restful days off.
Monday, actual turkey day I shall be at work, so will come home to the smell of cooked bird and fixins, and then I get to clean up, woo hoo.

K, I am off to watch my missed episodes of the Tudors with the eldest whelp, medieval smut, good way to bond with your older children.

I would be thankful if my H was thankful, that I was contented with his

In answer to Wilmas queery about "do the girls help you" with dinner prep, umm, lemme just say, I have actually gotten hoarse saying the words "ya know when I was your age, I was scrubbing the tub, the toilet, mopping the floors and starting dinner all before my mother came home from work" to which the two older ones reply "yeah well there are child labour laws now,w elcome to the 21st century" ORRR, "and your point is?" sigh, so the answer would be a resounding no. There is no homec is school anymore, kids can't even sew on a button, they never had to, tis a sign of the times I guess, order out, and pay somebody to fix it.
Anyhoo: NSDH, will do the rest, I shall leave the bird on Monday ready to pop in oven, and he does make some mighty fine mashed tatties, gravy I will do upon my return, cause nobody can do that but me.

Good Morning girls, I'm thankful for my mom, the opportunity that I can go to a private, expensive Uni this semester, (because I might not be going next semester if I lose my scholarships...long story), and that I have family meaning you girls here at JDa who are closer to me and know me better than my own family. fanny I did a better job with my older two, showing them and making them help.
Now it's just easier to do it myself. Big mistake I know.
My DS#1 who is now engineering Hybrid cars, does all the laundry,
cooking, cleaning and shopping for he and his GF. She doesn't have a clue.
As he was graduating High School, they took some kind of practical
knowledge test and he scored way higher than anyone else, earning the
"most likely to succeed in the real world" award.
The teacher handing it out said to him "be sure and thank your mom for
this". I liked her. teehee
I'm afraid I'm failing at that this go round. reminds me, the bathroom
needs cleaning, I should get DS#3 in here to do it.

I want apple bread too, but since I have gained yet another 5 pounds.
I'll be making unsweetened apple sauce instead.

I am feeling a tad (not TAD...wtf? tis confusing to use the word 'tad' and not mean
TAD...kind of like me but not ME...get me? (not ME, me)

Bloody hell, where was I? Oh...feeling a TAD more human. Dammity hell (hah, never used
THAT one before) I was sick. I managed to keep myself hovering above death while at
fanny's...but once I got home, no more pretenses and I was down for the count. I
managed to drag myself to the 'after hours' clinic and the doctor tsked tsked me about
taking so long to be seen...ah well. Two days and mega antibiotics later, I declare that
I feel much more bettah~

On that note, I am going to venture out to the grocery store jungle...those crazy food
shoppers all jazzed up on the holiday buying frenzy, fighting over turkeys and God knows
what else. I'll be dragging DH with me...more like he will be dragging me, but we will
return with a bird and the trimmings.

At this point, I am thankful for the cures of modern medicine. I will ponder the question
further as I try to avoid the pushy people that want to ram the grocery carts up the
backs of my ankles.

I will say that I love Johnny. Always will. It's been a couple of days since I put that out
there. It always feels so very good to say it.
